DESCRIPTION

Alternative Fee Agreements and Alternative Methods of Legal Service Delivery

Everyone loves certainty and law firms who quote a fixed fee as opposed to an hourly billing rate and an estimate will have an advantage whether pricing for an assistant general counsel with a budget or an individual consumer concerned about their finances. But how can a law firm avoid working for free on a fixed fee. The author of ABA books on alternative billing methods and alternative fee agreements will share tips on making your billing practice more client-friendly and potentially more profitable. Limited scope legal services is positioned to be a growth area under Rule 33 of the Rules for the District Court. If your client cannot afford full scope legal services, then perhaps with proper planning and application of Rule 33, you can still profitably assist them with something that fits their budget.
