DESCRIPTION

An Unprecedented Cross-Border Data Regulatory Regime

The U.S. Department of Justice released final guidance on its new regulatory regime governing transactions involving certain sensitive data of U.S. persons and government-related data and countries of concern. The regulation will be a game changer for U.S. companies that collect sensitive data and transfer, share, or sell the data with non-U.S. entities, as they now have just 90 days from the Rule’s publication in the Federal Register to comply with almost all of the new requirements. This expert panel proves and overview and discusses the significance of the new regulatory regime.

Speaker(s):

Joseph Folio III, Morrison Foerster
