Immigration Issues Beyond the Border
In the first 100 days of his return to presidency, President Trump took 181 executive actions on immigration; Oklahoma has also seen recent and significant state legislative action and executive action on immigration. Beyond state and federal laws and actions, immigrants in Oklahoma face additional challenges and barriers. These barriers and challenges include but are not limited to anti-immigrant sentiment, discrimination, difficulty accessing services and resources, limited immigration legal practitioners, and very few nonprofit legal resources. Explore the impact of immigration issues beyond the border with a moderator and panel of experts who are dedicated and experienced professionals navigating not just the ever-changing landscape of immigration law and associated issues but also the effects, consequences, and repercussions of those changes experienced in Oklahoma communities.
